Questions about scales & keys
Is a scale just a hand shape?
A scale is an ordered set of notes with an interval pattern. Hand shape and fingering help you play it but do not define it.
Do relative major and minor sound identical?
They share a key signature but have different tonal centres. Melody, harmony and emphasis help establish which note feels like home.
